Late in 2008, Crescent Hill Books put out a "call for entries" for their up coming book, The Big Book of Green Design. All entries were free, which is a somewhat rare opportunity, so we decided to take a gander.
Our one really "green" client is The Lost Bean, and we've had some fun projects with them, so naturally, they came to mind.
After pulling all of their best projects together, we joyfully made our submissions, like kids in a candy shop. A couple of months (of eagerly checking emails for a response) passed so we kind of put it to the back of our minds and moved on...
Then, one unassuming and particularly ordinary day (February 4, 2009 to be exact) to what do our wondering eyes appear, but a curious email from a Michael Glab, with the subject: Big Book of Green Design...trying not to get too excited...
Ok, I know I'm creating a big build up for this so I'll get to the point...To our pleasant surprise, our work for The Lost Bean was not only chosen to be in the book, but they even want to do a whole case study about it!
We were humbled and pleased — ok, let's be honest, extatic — to have our very first published work!
The book is due out in the fall of 2009 so check it out!
